Your recipes stay on your device
Lye & Wick was built on a simple principle: what happens on your bench is yours alone. This policy explains, plainly, what that means in practice.

1. Information We Collect
We collect nothing. Lye & Wick does not ask for your name, email, location, photos, or any account details. Your recipes, oil measurements, candle vessel dimensions, curing schedules, and journal entries never leave the device you enter them on.

2. How We Use Information
Because nothing is collected, nothing is analyzed, profiled, aggregated, or sold. There is no usage tracking of what oils you pour most, no behavioural analytics, and no advertising engine reading your batch history.

3. Data Storage
Every kettle fill, superfat setting, wax seal check, curing rack entry, and journal record is stored locally on your device only. There is no cloud sync, no remote database, and no server copy of your soap or candle data anywhere.

4. Third-Party Services
Lye & Wick does not integrate third-party analytics kits, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. No data about your device, your recipes, or your habits is shared with, or visible to, any outside company.

5. Data Security
Because your information never travels off your device, there is no transmission to intercept and no remote server to breach. Your recipes are only as accessible as your device itself, protected by whatever passcode or biometric lock you already use.

6. Children's Privacy
Lye & Wick does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all. The app is safe with respect to children's privacy laws including COPPA, as no personal data is ever gathered, stored remotely, or shared.

7. Your Control
There are no accounts to create and none to delete. If you wish to remove your data, simply delete the app — every recipe, oil profile, curing log, and journal entry stored locally is removed with it.

8. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is ever updated, the new version will be posted within the app with a revised effective date above. Continued use of Lye & Wick after an update means you accept the revised terms.
